Library by the lake
Um eine neue Bibliothek für das Haus am See realisieren zu können, wurde das erste Obergeschoss erweitert. Dadurch sind 94 Quadratmeter zusätzliche Bibliotheksfläche entstanden.
Der Baukörper fügt sich in die Landschaft ein, öffnet sich zum Boden hin und lässt Blicke von unten zu. Der Innenraum ist mit Holz ausgekleidet und hebt sich damit deutlich vom Sichtbeton des übrigen Baukörpers ab. Ein weiteres Gestaltungselement ist ein Wasserspeier.

Accommodating a new library and reading area, we have proceeded with the 1st floor extension at the Haus am See, resulting in an additional 94sqm of library shelfing.
The structure extracts into the landscape, opening the floor and allowing glances from below. The interior is lined with wood, differentiating itself distinctively from the remaining structure’s exposed concrete. A further design element includes a bold waterspout.
